In recent months, Melbourne Legacy has experienced double the number of calls from veterans’ families in desperate need of assistance. Regardless of what the months ahead hold in terms of this pandemic, we know this demand will continue.
A vital part of the solution is helping veterans and their partner or widow build self-sufficiency for the families through education.
That’s the focus of our Education, Training and Upskilling project: a dedicated fund that provide practical financial support to veterans’ families who are vulnerable. This investment helps mums and dads build a sustainable future through training in a new vocation or reskilling to make them job-ready in civilian life.
Your support can also provide children with educational opportunities they may otherwise be denied as a result of disadvantage caused by the impact of their parent’s service to our country – setting the next generation up for success.
