Whether assisting at events, supporting logistics, sharing professional expertise, fundraising, or helping behind the scenes, every volunteer makes a meaningful difference at Legacy.
This National Volunteers Week, we proudly recognise and thank our incredible corporate volunteers, including RPS Consulting, SCS Group, Accenture, and BAE Systems, whose ongoing support helps strengthen our mission and expand our impact within the community.
We also extend our gratitude to our valued community volunteers, including Sirius College, who recently assisted in assembling rosemary sprigs for our 94th ANZAC Commemoration for Students earlier this month.
Their time and effort helped make this important event especially meaningful for the many students who attended to honour the service and sacrifice of Australia’s veterans.

Everyone who volunteers with Melbourne Legacy becomes part of a proud legacy of service that has supported veteran families for more than 100 years.
Volunteering with Melbourne Legacy is more than giving time, it is becoming part of a compassionate community dedicated to ensuring the families of veterans are never left without support.
A special acknowledgement goes to our Legatees, who are one of the most important branches of Melbourne Legacy’s volunteer network and remain central to our mission
For over a century, Legatees have carried forward the promise to care for the families of veterans who sacrificed their lives or health in service to our country.
Through emotional support, practical assistance, companionship, and advocacy, they provide ongoing care to older widows, younger families, and children, working closely alongside Melbourne Legacy’s professional case management team.
