Melbourne Legacy at 4 Wing's Annual Parade & Futures Expo

This event is a special opportunity for Air Force cadets and their families to come together and meet with exhibitors to learn about cadet pathways and the wider Defence community, all while celebrating their time as cadets. 

Melbourne Legacy is passionate about connecting with the next generation, and the day was a fantastic opportunity to meet so many excited young cadets, curious about the life-changing work of Legacy. Our Community Services Manager, Emily, spent the day speaking to cadets and their families about the valuable services we provide, and had meaningful conversations about the vast support Legacy offers to members of the Defence and ex-service communities. 

The expo was also a powerful reminder of the enthusiastic cadet community, and it was heartening to meet so many young people, many of whom came up and shared how much they enjoyed supporting and participating in Legacy fundraising activities during the recent Legacy Week.

There was also a special, surprise appearance from Jet the Airforce Bear, who had a massive day roaming around, hanging out with families and snapping pics.

The day was a wonderful demonstration of the Defence community coming together, and it was great seeing so many enthusiastic exhibitors, including our partners at BAE Systems. 

The expo was a powerful reminder of the passionate next generation of cadets, and we thank the 4 Wing Team for having us.
