He devoted 16 years to serving our nation before he was medically discharged due to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), anxiety and depression.
Sean and Dana have five children, aged from 12 to 23 years old. They also share their busy household with their gorgeous 5-month-old grandson.
Like many Australians, Dana’s family is struggling with the cost of living and they say they can’t imagine how they would have coped without Legacy’s support for their family.

Through your generosity, we have been able to provide financial support for school necessities like stationery, uniforms and laptops.
Receiving funding for school meant that our children were well equipped at the start of the school year,” Dana explains. “It gave the kids more confidence to get through school comfortably and be prepared and they felt equal to other students.”
Importantly, Dana says that the financial aid they receive from Legacy takes a lot of pressure off the family, which in turn helps her husband’s mental health.
In addition to receiving much-needed financial support, Dana’s family also attended four Legacy camps which they say have been a great experience for them all. And the family tells us they have another reason to be eternally grateful to Legacy.
When Dana first reached out to Legacy in 2021, Sean was really struggling with his mental health, and Legacy connected them with a counselling service that helped them through the worst of times.
While Dana and I are incredibly grateful for the financial relief, for me, Legacy meant so much more,” Sean says. “I can honestly say that without the support that we received early on from Legacy, I’m not sure I would be sitting here today.”
